ROSSLAND RESCUE – BIGFOOT CORE VALUES AT WORK
“We had a concrete pour scheduled for Friday before the long weekend,” said Justin Tanguay, of DJM Contracting in Rossland, B.C., “but our crane was down.”
Justin and his team were well aware that concrete was in high demand at the time. So, rescheduling a pour could completely mess up project planning.
“There was something wrong with the slew motor on our Potain GTMR 346A,” said Justin, who knew that without that crane, the concrete pour would need to be postponed, and no one knew when the concrete trucks would be back. That put Justin and DJM in a tough position on an important project.

Although it was Thursday, and Adam was over 1000 kilometers away in Abbotsford, he decided to get in his truck and drive to Rossland to see if he could help DJM. After all, Bigfoot Crane had a reputation for legendary service, and this was an opportunity for Bigfoot and for Adam to be there for one of their valued customers.
Adam drove 1,104 kilometers to the job site in Rossland. On Thursday evening, he fixed the slew motor and made sure the Potain GTMR 346A was in working order. On Friday morning, the concrete trucks arrived.
“Amazing service,” said Justin on Friday, “to have Adam come up and help me last night. Our crane is working well, and the concrete is being poured. Thanks!”
In the end, Justin and DJM were able to keep their project on schedule, and Adam made it back home in time to go camping with his family for the long weekend.
At Bigfoot Crane, one of our six Core Values is Caring—we care about our customers. Another Core Value is Passion—we pursue our goals with strength and perseverance. Adam was living out both of those values that day.
