The jury in the inquest into the deaths of two men killed when a tower crane collapsed in Battersea London in 2006, has returned a ‘Narrative Verdict’.

Millionaire construction magnate James Lomma tried to wiggle through a semantic loophole today in his manslaughter trial for the fatal 2008 crane collapse on 91st Street — by calling an admittedly-faulty metal part a “replacement,” not a “repair.”

A crane operator died yesterday in Whitby Ontario, Canada, after his crane overturned on top of him. According to local news reports the man worked with Galcon Marine, who it is assumed, owned the crane. A report has been issued regarding the cause of the fatal 1,000 tonne crawler crane collapse in China last October. The report – or ‘final findings’ – was issued by the Jiuquan City People’s Government on December 16th, in a statement made by Jiuquan City administration secretary Yanzheng Lu.
