New Liebherr offshore heavy lifter
Liebherr has extended its range of heavy lift cranes with a new 1,500 tonne capacity offshore model. The CAL 64000 – 1500 Litronic was developed for Beluga Hochtief Offshore.
Liebherr to batching plants, mixers and cranes in Pune
Liebherr is building a factory in Pune, India that will manufacture concrete truck mixers, batching plants and tower cranes. Truck mixer manufacture is due to start shortly, with full production coming on stream by the middle of the year.
German rental company Schuch is using Grove’s first new 300 tonne GMK6300L All Terrain crane to erect the tower sections of a 2.5 MW Enercon E82 wind turbine in Mensinghausen, near Hannover. To lift the tower sections, the GMK6300L was working with 31.5 metres main boom and its maximum counterweight of 92.5 tonnes.
While tens of thousands of new truck cranes a year are sold in China there is big news at the upper end of the lifting capacity scale. Domestic manufacturers are also increasing production capacity and stepping up efforts to distribute and manufacture abroad. Alex Dahm reports
Irish based international lifting and wind power specialist McNally/Windhoist has taken delivery of a 750 tonne Liebherr LG1750 lattice boomed truck mounted crane.The new crane travelled form the manufacturers Ehingen plant this week directly to its first contract in France where it will be used to erect a number of wind turbines.
Link Belt will launch an all new 137 tonne/150ton lattice boomed crawler crane, the 238HSL at Conexpo in Las Vegas this March.
A Contractor’s Crawler Crane Debuts at ConExpo
A new 150-ton 238 HSL crawler crane, to be seen for the first time at ConExpo/Con-Agg in Las Vegas, Nev., March 22-26, 2011. The crane replaces Link-Belt’s 238 Hylab 5 in the company’s product line and joins three other HSL models—138, 218 and 298 HSL.
A trend for larger ships at a time when demand for sustainable, environmentally sensitive operation and the call for low-emission cargo handling equipment is growing, says crane manufacturer Liebherr-Werk Nenzing.
Manitowoc’s stand will feature its new MC 125 Potain top-slewing tower crane which replaces the MC 115 B. Also on display will be the Igo 32 self-erecting tower crane.
