From manufacture to completion, a space transport vehicle is made to launch and orbit, never to fall. One of these would be a billion-dollar space capsule weighing 10 tons.

Liebherr unveiled the LTM 1160-5.2, a 190-ton mobile crane on a five-axle chassis. Compared to its predecessor, the LTM 1160-5.1, the LTM 1160-5.2 has a 20-25% increase in load capacity even though it uses the same 203-ft. telescopic boom.

Terex debuted the newest crane in its Explorer all-terrain crane family, the Explorer 5600. The 180-ton, five axle AT crane was designed for roadability.

Officially unveiled March 4th. by Manitowoc were the new 650 tonne and 300 tonne capacity crawler cranes. Both of the lattice boom models have the Variable Position Counterweight system previously seen on the USA-headquartered manufacturer’s flagship model, the 31000.

IMT will showcase its 40/275 articulating crane at ConExpo-Con/Agg 2014, March 4 – 8 in Las Vegas.

Liebherr delivered four new LTM 1055-3.2 mobile cranes to the Swiss Army.
