bauma China 2010 achieved record numbers attracting more than 150,000 visitors up 33% than in 2008. This year’s event – the fifth since its launch in 2002 and which closes today – also had more exhibitor space and numbers and is consolidating its position as the leading Chinese and Asian construction industry trade show. Visitors from 165 countries attended the event. After China, the top ten visitor countries were Korea, India, Japan, Russia, Malaysia, Brazil, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and Australia. Covering 230,000 square meters of exhibition space, bauma China 2010 was 10 per cent bigger in area than in 2008, housing 1,858 exhibitors from 37 countries (2008: 1,608 exhibitors from 30 countries).
