A crane working on the Kaw Lake dam in north central Oklahoma tipped over the edge into the water yesterday. The operator managed to exit his cab before the crane went over.
The crane owned and operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers was lifting a piece of equipment on the top of the dam when it went over. The fall damaged the edge protection and caused the road over the dam to close until the crane is recovered and the damage repaired.
