The Hillsborough County Deputy who was injured in a traffic crash with a 41-ton crane remains in the hospitlal, but continues to improve. Deputy Deborah Walker was hospitalized after an accident involving several vehicles, including a city bus and a huge crane on September 16 in East Tampa. She suffered five broken ribs, a 10 inch laceration to her left arm, a sprained neck, bruised lungs and a contusion in the spine. Police spokesperson Debbie Carter said Walker continues to improve, and has been moved to a regular room. Six vehicles were involved and at least nine were injured in the crash. Other than the deputy, no one suffered serious injury.
