Kobelco is ready to start shipping its new G-Series medium sized range of crawler cranes, announced at Conexpo. The company has now confirmed that its G-Series of environmentally more efficient crawler cranes, will comprise seven CKE and BME models, from 60 to 250 tonnes capacity. The units will also be on display at Intermat in April.
The cranes feature a number of new energy efficient features including: Auto engine Idle/Stop similar to that found in modern cars, after 10 seconds of idling without activity the engine stops and then automatically restarts when a function is activated. The G-Winch which allows maximum speed with engine at idle speed when not lifting a load, EUR Stage IIIB engines with Diesel Particle active Reduction system and a new hydraulic circuit selection system with dual pump flow, allowing the operator to select the most efficient mode for the specific job.
Other features include better – more spacious cabs, complete with a larger colour touch-screen monitor with pictograms, which integrates the Load Moment Indicator and machine condition indicator in one unit.
