Following the successful identification of an old Bay City crane last week, another reader has asked if any of our readers know who made what was a famous crane/come wrecker mounted on a Magirus chassis.
He has sent two photos one form Finland where a unit owned by rental company Toman is working in conjunction with what looks like an early Demag. The other photo shows a restored or new crane owned by the US army.
The crane was also made into a model by Matchbox in the early 1960’s but it was labelled as a Magirus crane. Matchbox model number 30.
