A crane crew from Des Moines, Iowa saved a woman from a river that took her husbands life. Trying to find a good place to watch fireworks, a husband and wife found themselves in trouble as their boat capsized in the Des Moines River.
Jason Oglesbee, Joe Lowe, and their Supervisor rescued the woman from the Des Moines River by straping Mr.Oglesbee into a harness and lowering him into the river with their crane.
With the help of the crew Mr. Oglesbee rescued Patricia Neely from the fast flowing river, but her husband Ralph Neely was unable to escape. Later that day his body was found in the river.
We at CraneBlogger.com would like to pay homage to these American Heroes. Our thoughts go out to the Neely Family.
