The Specialized Carriers & Rigging Association (SC&RA) recently recognized Crane Rental Corporation with several awards for their dedication to safety in 2012. These awards included the Crane & Rigging Zero Accidents Award and Transportation Zero Accidents Award.
Additionally, Crane Rental Corporation won three other awards from SC&RA. First, the Crane and Rigging Safety Award was presented to the company for meeting the maximum criteria established for incident rates and workers’ compensation modification. The second award, the Crane and Rigging Improvement Award was given for improved incidence rates, compared to the previous year. Crane Rental Corporation’s third award, the
Transportation Fleet Safety Award, was given to the entire company’s operation for lowest frequency rate with respective mileage categories.
Michael Smith, Crane Rental’s safety director, is in charge of training and promoting the safety culture of the day-to-day operations. To promote safety, Mike implements several tools within the company to maintain its low 0.690 EMR.
