One of the largest providers of lifting and rigging products and related services in the United States, today announced the company has received the Gold Safety Training and Evaluation Process (STEP) national award from Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. (ABC) for the third consecutive year. The STEP award recognizes Delta Rigging & Tools for the achievement and ongoing success of the company’s safety programs.
“Recognition for providing a safe working environment for employees and customers is the highest honor a company can receive,” said Mike Mathis, HS&E Director for Delta Rigging & Tools. “We are constantly looking for new ways to maintain and improve our safety standards, and we have dedicated employees who focus on quality control and engineering excellence. The STEP award was established in 1989 to recognize members who employ effective safety practices on job sites and is based on 20 key elements of contractor safety programs such as management commitment, pre-planning for safety on job sites, safety training, and resources committed to safety.
“Safety and quality cannot be separated, and both are at the foundation of every product and service that Delta Rigging & Tools offers,” said Eric Johnson, Delta Rigging & Tools Vice President of Marketing. “We are committed to continuous improvements in our safety performance, which is a key component of our strategic vision to consistently deliver safety, service, quality, and value for our customers, partners, and employees.
