A man died after a one-ton crane toppled onto him in a mishap at a printing company in southwest Houston last night.
Police said that Cesar Barrios Gomez, 41, of Houston, died at the firm in the 3900 block of Stoney Brook about 6 p.m.
He suffered a puncture wound in his head and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators said that Gomez had been trying to maneuver the crane to another location when the crane’s base failed and the machine fell over, pinning him beneath.
