A new register for tower cranes became law this week after eight deaths linked to them in the past decade. We’ve reported terrible accidents such as the Worthing crane collapse in 2005 that killed two workers and the Battersea crane disaster the following year that killed its driver as well as passer-by Michael Alexa.
