A new lifting related training company, SWL Training has been established in the UK by Bennison was previously director of training at Emerson Crane Hire and before that worked with King Lifting. He started his lifting career with Hewden back in 2000 after having served in the Royal Engineers Parachute regiment.
Speaking of his new venture following what he describes as a very amicable departure from Emerson, he said: “The idea for the name is that the term ‘SWL’ is very recognisable in the lifting world, but, to broaden it out, SWL stands for ‘Safety – Workplace – Lifting’ in this case.”
“Our goal is to provide a professional, reliable and high quality training and consultation service to all those who carry out lifting operations – and beyond. We plan to offer a complete range of services from a complete lifting service to improving the skill level of a company’s workforce to just providing a helping hand on how to conduct lifting operations.”
