SC&RA, in partnership with the KHL Group, will present a webinar on the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s new Cranes & Derrick Standard.
The webinar, an internet-based seminar, will be Thursday, December 9, noon to 1:30 p.m. (Eastern Time).
Bill Smith, senior vice president, Risk Management of NBIS, will provide a summary of the new rules outlined in the standard, highlighting the changes that will impact crane and rigging businesses. Additional information will be provided on the American Society of Mechanical Engineers B 30.5 2007 mobile cranes standard and the effect it has on the crane and rigging industry. Smith’s 18 years of regulatory experience and current responsibilities at NBIS, including claim and risk management, loss prevention, safety awareness, and accident investigation, allow him to provide a valuable perspective to crane companies. NBIS is the exclusive Gold Sponsor of this webinar and SC&RA’s exclusively endorsed provider of property and casualty insurance.
Registration for this event, available at www.scranet.org. Registration is limited to the first 100 registrants. The cost is only $29 for members and $49 for non-members. You must register by December 8 to participate. For questions please contact SC&RA at (703) 698-0291.
