As 2011 comes to a close, I would like to take this opportunity on behalf of the management and staff of craneblogger.com to thank our loyal readers who have devoted a few moments of their busy day to spend with us.

Amid the hum and rumble of downtown Manhattan — not to mention the clang of steel and the tangle of cranes — hard-hatted workers in fluorescent orange vests yell orders, spread cement, move machines. Empty boxes litter the ground. Shop lights hang from extension cords like Christmas bulbs.

Linden Comansa has introduced two new models of luffing-jib cranes. The company says the new models will be available by the end of April. These new cranes, LCL 310 and LCL 280, altogether with the LCL 190 presented last year in Bauma, form the new family of luffing-jib cranes from Linden Comansa, which will be completed this summer with the launch of a fourth model, the LCL 165.
