Iowa Mold Tooling Co. Inc. (IMT) will showcase its commitment to customer success at ConExpo-Con/Agg 2014, March 4 – 8 in Las Vegas. The leading manufacturer of field service vehicles, truck-mounted cranes and air compressors will display a variety of products that help customers maximize productivity — including the 40/275 articulating crane — in North Hall, Booth 10652.
The 40 tm (274,855 ft-lb) articulating crane meets customers’ material handling needs with excellent lift and reach capabilities, a superior lift-to-weight ratio, minimized space requirements and key safety features.
The 40/275 crane provides a maximum lifting capacity of 19,025 lbs. at 14’5″, and can be equipped with up to eight hydraulic extensions for a maximum horizontal reach of 69′ 11″. Minimized dimensions and lower weight allow for additional truck configuration possibilities and increased payload.
The 40/275 crane features a dual-power plus link-arm system (DL), which is well suited for long reaches and lifting in high positions with demanding equipment (such as fly-jib and winch). In addition, the DL system provides precise and regular movements in the entire working area while offering the best lifting capacities under almost any working conditions.
Another feature is overbending, which means the working area between the main boom and the jib is no less than 195°. Overbending offers greater flexibility when working through narrow passages and under overhead obstructions; the ability to lift maximum loads in all boom positions; and lower total height when the crane is stowed.
A key safety feature standard on all IMT articulating crane models is the RCL (rated capacity limiter) 5300. The RCL system monitors the crane’s load moment, operation and function. In an overload situation, the system warns the operator and interrupts the distribution of oil for crane functions, while allowing functions that reduce load moment to remain operational. The RCL 5300 cooperates with the user and compensates when the RCL senses a situation requiring intervention.
Additional features of the 40 tm articulating crane include continuous rotation, a radio remote control, internal hose routing and optional stabilizer solutions for each side.
IMT offers a complete lineup of articulating cranes ranging from the 2.5 tm model (18,085 ft-lb) to the 80 tm (516,440 ft-lb) model.
Other IMT products on display at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2014 will include a Dominator II mechanics truck, a SiteStar lube truck and a crane-mounted TireHand tire manipulator. The booth will staffed with IMT experts to assist visitors and answer questions about the complete lineup of IMT products.
